moodthemeinayear has opened Part 3! For anyone who wants to join in for just the Minimum or Medium Tracks, they've both restarted with this Part. And it can also be fun just to watch the community!


Also, for those not following the news at Tumblr, Mat Mullenweg just fired half of Tumblr's staff, which. I mean, I know we've been saying "This is Tumblr's death knell!" since the porn purge in 2018, but Tumblr being the size that it is and down to a staff of 25 people at most (and I've seen it suggested that that number is optimistic) is definitely cause for concern.

I've got some rebloggable posts on Dreamwidth basics and such over here, including a guide of what sort of things it's cool to post on Dreamwidth, for anyone intimidated by the text-heavy format. I'll probably be trying to round up what I think of as "the hits" sometime this evening.

In the meantime, I just had a surprise six hours with my two niblings, each of whom is under five years old, so I need a bit of a break 😅 Once I get my spoons descrambled, though, I'll get back on the job!

I'm about to take a nap (still haven't quite recovered from watching the kids yesterday 😅), but wingedtyger set up a Tumblr community for Dreamwidth stuff; hopefully we'll be able to get some centralized organizing done there, and mirror it to Dreamwidth, and/or vice versa.

I just planted 24 Asiatic lilies and covered them with mulch. There went my whole morning. I still have boxes and boxes of stuff to plant that backlogged because it kept raining so I couldn't keep up with the influx. O_O

Yes! Please feel free to mirror those materials on newcomers. If you have the energy, you might also crosspost them to the_great_tumblr_purge. Conversely, you're welcome to copy or link anything from newcomers that you think would be useful on Tumblr.
