I see occasional Asian things on fandomcalendar but not a lot, and I don't think it's nearly all of them. Mostly classic fest and bang type things appear there from the Asian branch. I see bits of that from friends who are into it, but I get the impression that it's kind of its own branch of Dreamwidth that doesn't overlap as much other stuff as some other fandoms do. Probably because some of it is actually in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc.
It occurs to me that you don't need a separate community unless traffic gets heavy. A calendar post in c_ent or somewhere like that could work to gather announcements of events. potterfests has both individual announcements and gather posts.

I've seen some folks listing their interests that way, and it's generally true of fandoms that people have favorite genres or sources with a cluster of similar canons.
